In this Theme Academy : Soft Skills
'Have you ever experienced that you are intensely involved with a task that you forget everything around you? You're focused on your goal, you feel a wave of energy and you performance on top of your game. You have the idea that you can go hours until you have achieved your aim. You are totally emerged in what you do and you feel strong as the force of the water in a rapids. This experience is called FLOW.
Sometimes people think that FLOW is something you feel in extreme sports. That is a misunderstanding. Your life and work provide ample starting points for FLOW. If you experience FLOW you are very productive. You have inspiration for optimal results. If you find it important to work in an inspiring and motivating environment, you can shape the circumstances of your project to increase changes for FLOW. This can be a win-win situation for you, your team and your organization! "
In practice, factors like money management, quality, information and time get the most attention from the steering committee and project manager. While the project is about people! Project work is people work. The use of a good method, supplemented with tools is a prerequisite for effective and efficient project management. But that is not enough, because nobody will work harder for more creative methods. It is the energy of the team and the strength of the project team that determine the performance!

“The Eclectic Academy has a high added value for networking and staying in contact with Eclectic. This way I stay in touch with the people in the office and I enjoy the networking aspect. Besides that it’s a pleasant way to gain extra relevant knowledge. I would like to see the sharing of information a bit more interactive, but it is hard to do this in only one evening.” Peter Schrier
