Thanks to their 30 years of experience, they have developed a successful application, a Document Control and Management System specialized in supporting Oil & Gas as well as Engineering and Construction projects. (Azure) Cloud Reliability Engineer

As a Cloud Reliability Engineer you will be part of the international OPS Team. The objective of the OPS Team is to support all Cloud service customers both before and after deployment. Assist in solutions design and coordinate with Dev groups and supporting of solutions on the Azure and platform. This includes interfacing for environment validation and requirements gathering.

A Reliability Engineer plays a key role in the lifecycle of a product. They oversee the assessment and management of the reliability of operations that could impact a product or business. This helps test current processes and highlight any failures or issues. This usually relates to engineering businesses that need to ensure their processes and equipment can reliably deliver the results required.

The primary focus is to determine the reliability of components, equipment and processes. For example, if certain processes appear vulnerable to breaking, this can be highlighted by the reliability engineer proactivity, to help avoid such issues and help sustain high levels of productivity and efficiency. By documenting, prioritizing, planning, delivering and evaluating operations, a reliability engineer helps minimize the risk and impact of failure in equipment and processes.

Responsibilities:

  • Assists others in root cause failure analysis to avoid future failures.
  • Works under supervision of other engineers and receives guidance in the use of standard company procedures for use in reliability analysis specific to the product/process.
  • Follows company safety and health guidelines and other company policies.
  • Works with Project Engineering to ensure the reliability and maintainability of new and modified installations. The Reliability Engineer is responsible for adhering to the Life Cycle Asset Management (LCAM) process throughout the entire life cycle of new assets.
  • Provides input to a Risk Management Plan that will anticipate reliability-related, and non-reliability-related risks that could adversely impact plant operation.
  • Identifying and reporting on potential failures within a process
  • Applying general engineering knowledge to solve problems
  • Work closely with budgets and finances to help reduce costs
  • Liaise with relevant teams on outcomes of tests/analysis/Performing tests and analysis
  • The scoop of work will depend on what the business is producing, and the components involved.
  • Performs detailed/routine engineering calculations involving relatively simple tests on less complicated system details where ingenuity and high-level judgment are not required.
  • Participates in the final check out of new installations. This includes factory and site acceptance testing that will assure adherence to functional specifications.
  • Guides efforts to ensure reliability and maintainability of equipment, processes, utilities, facilities, controls, and safety/security systems.
  • Professionally and systematically defines, designs, develops, monitors and refines an Asset Maintenance Plan that includes:
  • Value-added preventive maintenance tasks
  • Effective utilization of predictive and other non-destructive testing methodologies designed to identify and isolate inherent reliability problems
  • Originates and develops analysis methods to determine reliability of components, equipment and processes.
  • Acquires and analyses data.
  • Prepares diagrams, charts, drawings, calculations and reports to define reliability problems and make recommendations for improvements.
  • Conducts analysis of reliability problems and investigates to determine the required reliability approach for a particular situation, with consideration given to cost limitations for equipment uptime/downtime, repair/replacement costs and weight, size and availability of materials/equipment.
  • Determines cost advantages of alternatives and develops action plans that comply with internal/external customer demands for reliable processes/equipment to avoid failures.


Requirements and experience

  • A Reliability Engineer with 5 years of relevant asset technical and reliability experience and a demonstrable track record of delivering increased reliability and technical.
  • The role requires a high level of concern for standards and compliance with regulatory.
  • A keen investigative nature to always achieve the root cause of systems/procedural failures.
  • Ability to gather data and analyse reliability trends to develop effective improvement projects.
  • Experience of implementing predictive maintenance policies and increasing asset availability are key skills for this role.
